We are 10 league matches into the 2018/19 and we have 10 points under new manager Steve McClaren. At the same stage last season under Ian Holloway we had 13 points.
On appointing McClaren Les Ferdinand said, McClaren is “the perfect fit” for QPR. “[Steve] has a fantastic reputation in the game for coaching and developing players,”
“When you look at the average age of our squad, and the exciting young talent starting to emerge, he is the perfect fit for us. We want Steve to use his expertise and experience to help our players grow.”
At the end of August 2018, Simon Jordon who knows a thing or two about mis managing a football club said,
“I don’t dislike McClaren, but I think he’s a busted flush of a manager… if he ever was a flush.
“I feel that QPR putting him in charge of the club, at a time where they were in a difficult situation of their own making, illustrates the fundamental lack of understanding these owners have about the mechanics of football.
So who is right, Sir Les or Simon Jordon or are neither right?
In my thread posted about the same time I have expanded upon the number of games so far versus the number of points. I cannot believe that Ollie would have done worst - may be better but more likely the same; so why o why did we pay off Ollie for this?

McClaren would not have got the job at any other club but QPR. Nobody else in the Championship wanted him for the past 18 months. If we sacked him now I fancy it would be his last appointment in this country.
McClaren is showing a lot of signs of not knowing what to do. He was desperate for strikers, got his wish and the 2 he wanted, but he had no forward plan as in order to accommodate them. He now has to play other players out of position to the detriment of the side.
He is also seems unable to know what is going wrong during a match. Look at Saturday, why did he make 2 changes in the 87th minute? Far, far too late to achieve anything.
Last week against Norwich we could have got something from the match had he acknowledged a lot sooner that the shape needed to change.
I have no doubt that he will get sacked this season. The owners may support him but large swathes of the fanbase pretty much hate him already. It is not even us being rash by calling for his head, he is not doing anything that the club justified his appointment with and I don't like it when the manager turns the supporters away from the club which he really is doing.
I agree northwest the fans will drive him out Mick McCarthy please come to us when it happens We are not a good side but under the right management we can at least stay up

I have said since day one that I didnt think McClaren was the right choice but I was prepared to give him10 league games to prove me wrong. Now that we have played those 10 league games all it proved to me was that McClaren is even more inept than I first thought.
What makes the whole situation worse is that the club are on a loser whatever they decide. If we keep McClaren then our future in the Championship looks bleak. If we get rid of him then we will still have to pay the remaining19 months he has left on his contract plus we then have to pay whoever we replace him with.
10 poxy points 7 goals scored lowest scorers in the league A league cup exit due to poor team selection A 7-1 thrashing at West Brom that made us a laughing stock McClaren doing alright so far ain't he
Neither have a clue to be honest. Sir les has stated that every manager and player that has come to QPR whilst he has been DOF here been the right fit. The ex palace guy is a plank wasn't he with Bromley. This division never unravels until January.
Neither McClaren is not a perfect fit for the club. I doubt that any manager is. But we had a very good fit with Holloway. He has a real Love for the club, he puts his heart on his sleeve and always tried his best. Most fans acknowledged this even if some had doubts in his abilities. I think most fans would now welcome him back. Pity I now think his love for the club has gone after the inconsiderate way the club treated him.
Simon Jordan just likes the sound of his own voice he makes so many controversial statement that one of them may have a chance of cumming true and if they don't no one will remember what he said. He is just an opinionated failed chairman like many other.
