Who is in danger of going Lots of players doing well right now Most dangerous big offer could be a premier league outfit for eze and it could be big Freeman Luongo Even players like lynch Matt smith will go to somewhere like Millwall Can hemed and wells be sold by their clubs while here It's going to be interesting for sure
I guess a lot will depend on where we are in the league and how we are playing. If players think they have a real chance to win and get promoted with us they are more likely to stay than go in to a Prem club as a squad player. (Well I would anyway)
Freeman was near the top of Middlesbrough's wanted list in the summer and I thought that once they sold Albert Adomah to Wolves he would be on his way because he would have been an ideal replacement. If boro are still in a promotion position in January then I fully expect a bid.
Eze is not the finished article and whilst there is lots of promise I wouldn't expect a bid from a Premiership club in January. However, if he continues to improve its possible that a Premier club might look at signing him in the summer and maybe leaving him with us to get another seasons experience of first team football.
January is going to be all about keeping the squad together.
Clubs will know we can't easily replace players, that should make our players cost more as we won't want to sell.
So even if we do sell we should be able to command decent fees. In theory!
All true and the days of 'wheeler dealers' have gone now that Lee Hoos is controlling the purse strings better, but still reckon we could introduce Ryan Manning as a Freeman replacement and take the dosh. Thoughts?

We may have no choice in selling Freeman if we take a dip in form and its doesnt look like the playoffs are a reality and one of the top teams in Championship or one of the lower Prem teams come in for him. We are still a selling club. Bringing in manning would be my first choice too.
I would love to see Manning back but I do not think that he would be a Freeman replacement. I think that he is better suited to a central midfield role as a replacement for Cameron/Scowen but I don't think that either will move on until the end of the season. but to be fair I have not seen him playing in Freemans current role and he may be a shoe in for that position as well
But I think in time he would be a great replacement for Luongo where he would have a little more freedom to go forward. He has proved with us and with Rotherham that he is capable of scoreing goals as a midfield player which is something we lack at the moment.
Either way Manning is the sort of player that we need to keep and encourage and not ship him out to a rival as a loan player. When he scored his first goal for Rotherham and kissed there badge it may have been as a message to Mclearn. We may not see him back, I hope I am wrong.
