I could not find an existing thread for jake Bidwell (other than in Transfer Rumours, so I created this one.
These interesting snippets from London Football News today:
QPR striker Matt Smith has tipped team-mate Jake Bidwell to become a manager when his playing career ends. Asked by The League Paper which Rangers player is most likely to eventually move on to management, Smith had no hesitation in nominating former Brentford left-back Bidwell. Smith said: “I can definitely say Jake Bidwell. He reads the game very well and he definitely has the temperament and the organisation. He would be the obvious one.”
When asked who was the ‘teacher’s pet’ at Loftus Road, Smith replied that youngster Ebere Eze “can do no wrong” at the moment. Exciting forward Eze has impressed hugely since being picked up by Rangers after being released by Millwall in 2016. He has become an established first-team regular at the club and recently made his international debut, featuring for England’s Under-20 side. Smith added: “He’s the golden boy and rightly so – he’s one of the best youngsters I’ve ever played with. “I’d put him in the same bracket as other players like Ryan Sessegnon or Lewis Cook at Bournemouth. “He’s a great lad as well, a real top boy and very humble. But he’s wrapped in cotton wool and can get away with anything.”
