Steve: The future is very bright for #QPR. It’s a very well-run club and the guys behind the scenes have done a fantastic job.
Steve: Despite the dark days at the beginning I still believed we would come out of it.
Steve: We’re still climbing out of the pit after the first four games; we’re not there yet.
Les: We'll be looking to get our younger players out on loan to gain experience because they’ll be very important for our future.
Les: I was flattered to be approached by the FA, but I’m happy to stay at #QPR.
Steve: We won’t be able to bring in any players in January. Our main priority is our younger players and their pathway into the First Team.
Steve: It was hard work climbing out of the bottom into the top half, but it’s even harder to stay up there. Let’s keep our feet on the ground and let’s just enjoy the good games.
Lee: I’m very proud of the work @qprtrust do in the community. The players understand the importance of it too and are great ambassadors.
Steve: At the present moment we’re on a good run. Can we sustain it? That’s the challenge we set the players every day but we've got to keep our feet on the ground.
It seems like a another good discussion by the club with the fans. Some important points came out of it:
1. Warren Farm already has had studies performed in anticipation of a favourable court decision, so time has not been wasted. This new facility is vital to the business model QPR are forced to adopt these days, so good news.
2. Steve McClaren admitted he had made a mistake in opting for a 4-3-3 formation initially (the players were not ready for it he said but I reckon it was more a case of the wrong players were available). Good to hear that from a manager and good that he was given time to correct his original mistake. It is obvious from his comments that he is not getting over-confident too!
3. The club are, rightly in my opinion, baffled by the council's response to the economic study/forecast on the potential new stadium that was shared by the club. This response does not seem like a case of the council playing 'hard ball', but rather them braying out a party line for voting purposes. If this sort of attitude continues then QPR will be forced to move out of the Borough, and the only options will be westwards I feel, into Ealing or Hillingdon boroughs.
