I like Ball but will he play every game?
I think it could be Barbet or Eze. Both likely to play every game. Eze could be chosen to get the extra few percent out of him and to keep his motivation levels up when he may be starting to look elsewhere.

Ball possibly not playing every game was my only reservation in making him the Captain, but you could equally say the same of Barbet (or Wallace/Cameron). In regard to Eze I would have to regard him getting the captaincy as no more than an incentive (as was done for Taarbat) because he is not really captain material. Really needs a vocal player who motivates. Eze is wonderful but vocal he is not!
I think Warnock can’t just simply retire and keep away from the game,he saves almost every club from relegation at last minute if your in trouble Warnock is your man if he was one day from his 100th birthday he’d probably still be in management
I didn't realise Warnock was actually staying as Boro boss. I thought it was an 8 game deal until the end of the season to save them?
And do Boro pay higher wages than us? I thought they were in financial trouble themselves.
It could be that they value Hall higher than we do. Or that they have more of a short-term outlook than us now. Or it was the only offer he got so he had to accept it.
I do understand that it’s a short career etc. But I can’t help feeling that he owes us. It’s one thing going to a better club but this is a bit of a snub.
I said the same earlier on Ghost ! I appreciate it is indeed a short career but I still feel he should have been far more grateful towards the club after they looked after him during his long injury spell. Sadly there is no loyalty, only a question of looking after #1.... Having questioned his loyalty, I do wish him well (except against QPR of course) and we must remember that he only looked good when we were comparing him with Lynch-gate. Hall could be 'turned' just as easily, it was his heading that was superior. I would also add that he is not my idea of a team captain - I want someone who organises defending dead balls and coaxes/cajoles his team!

It was the same with Jack Robinson. We nurse them and pay them through their extending time off when injured but when we need a bit of loyalty from them they disappear to the highest bidder.
