Just seen that West Ham have named 6 subs which is short of the 7 allowed. I see they have a couple of youth players but why not add one more just to give them some experience of what its like? Surely it cant hurt?
Its like the old 'Arry Redknapp trick of putting 2 goalkeepers on the bench during the January transfer window to say to the chairman 'look how short I am, I need more players'.
Pelligrini will be trying something similar.
Regardless there should be a rule that 2 of the 7 subs in the PL have to be under 21 or from the development squad or suchlike. They don't have to be used but it would at least aid development.
