Overall it seems we've lost about 20 million last season.
The 3 years look something like: 2020/21 - £4 million 2021/22 - £24 million 2022/23 - £20 million
That's £48 million over 3 years but we get £3-5 million allowable expenses each season so should just - and it will mean JUST - be ok to meet the £39 million over 3 year limit.
BUT
you can see why this season we've had to cut back everything because we are on £44 million losses before this season even comes into play.
We can maybe at a push only afford £8-£10 million losses this season.
We should have some leeway for next season (24/25) because the £24 million loss will drop off.
The 2022/23 figures are a disgrace and show the club continues to be financially mismanaged. Just how naive must our owners be to continue allowing a c. £400k/week loss. No business can expect to survive if they are continually run in such a poor way. When you consider that our total income is £23.3m yet even before our other expenses we still pay wages of £25.4m, it makes no sense.
What makes the whole situation even more frightening is that we've offloaded the salaries of players like Dieng, Johansen and Amos but then replaced them with players who are reported to be earning possibly 3 times more in Begovic, Cook and Colback.
