I actually think playing teams like villa is easier because we are not expected to win as we are against teams like reading at our gaff
They know we beat them already and thrashed them last season up villa park,they won't underestimate us
Luongo is a massive gap to fill

Questions are although we still got a point
What went wrong
We couldn't beat a team who hadn't won in 8 games,we were totally outplayed for long periods in the first half especially
Our main goal threat was our big German and not a lot else if we're honest
Did we underestimate our opponent,was we showing signs of tiredness in some of the players,which I don't buy,if I was on 20 grand a week I wouldn't be tired playing football
Eze is non effective and needs replacing asap
Did McClaren get his tactics wrong in the first half or were reading simply better than us especially keeping the ball
Villa will be rubbing their hands together if we play like we did yesterday

Apparently McClaren was going to replace at least 2 players after HT but the improved performance meant he kept delaying that plan. Not sure which players or why he was still happy at 70 mins it was still goalless... I have generally thought his substitutions have been good, but if eventually the only player he took off was Eze on 90 mins then I feel he missed the plot on Saturday.
