Here are the results from Round 1 of our FA Cup knockout prediction cup for 2018/19:
Of our regular QPR Prediction League players @singlespeed , stoatey and onenightfever all failed to enter which meant we only had 18 entries meaning just 2 players who entered leave the competition at the first hurdle to leave us with 16 players for Round 2...
kingfisher, QPRBex, savoyhoop and LurkR got the QPR 2-1 win exact
In the QPR match I got the first goal time of 16-30 along with MCM Hoop, savoyhoop, SydneyR, Rosco Bosco and ranger-boy
Myself, ranger-boy, SydneyR and CutePR got Millwall's 2-1 win exact in Match 2
e17hoop got the 46-60 first goal time in that fixture
QPRsmith and CutePR got the early first goal time in Match 3 involving Preston and Doncaster
qprallan, MaxQPR, ashqpr and e17hoop got Watfords 2-0 win exact in Match 4
Nobody got either of the first scorers in Matches 1 and 2
There were 14 bookings which QPRBex and SydneyR got exactly and the goal difference proved crucial in who went out and the placings which influence the draw for the next round.
Ghost is the first player out having only picked up 3 points
MCM Hoop was level on 6 points with Rosco Bosco and MaxQPR but had a much worse goal difference having only predicted 6 bookings and that sees MCM Hoop out of the competition.
savoyhoop was the clear top scorer with 16 points. 4 players had 13 points and 3 had 12 and another 3 had 10 so they were all separated by goal difference for each tie.
surrey chad, kingfisher, LurkR and myself were all knocked out in Round 1 of the League Cup earlier in the season so are extra happy to make it through this time round. In my case I had the worse record of anybody having gone out in Round 1 in all of the previous cup competitions we have ran!

Round 2
In Round 2 position 1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, 3 plays 14 and was the case in the League Cup earlier this season, so on illustrating no fixing of the draw and the higher placed players benefit by playing a lower ranked player (on paper!). It is all head to head battles from here on in!
That leaves us with the following Round 2 line up of 16 players still in with a chance of getting 10 bonus points for the QPR Prediction League:
Tie 1: savoyhoop Vs Rosco Bosco
Tie 2: e17hoop Vs MaxQPR
Tie 3: kingfisher Vs QPRsmith
Tie 4: ranger-boy Vs LurkR
Tie 5: qprallan Vs ashqpr
Tie 6: SydneyR Vs surrey chad
Tie 7: CutePR Vs minxymartin
Tie 8: northwesthoop Vs QPRBex
Note the intriguing Father Vs Son battle in Tie 2 whilst Tie 7 between CutePR Vs minxymartin is a repeat of the fixture between the pair at the same stage in the League Cup earlier this season which minxymartin won.
The points all reset to zero. Round 1 score and GD only come into play going forward if there is no separating the players in the next round.
Round 2 will be available to enter once the draw has taken place and dates have been set for the matches.
