With Jamie Rueben being a big admirer of Ebe Eze and about to jump ship and invest in Newcastle it will be interesting to see just how much he values him should they enter the bidding process.
As a current director of QPR the one thing that Rueben will have is some insider knowledge and he will know just how good or bad our financial position really is.
Should Rueben become a part owner of Newcastle and he convinces them to bid for Eze then he will know exactly what we might be prepared to accept.
I saw reports mention Rueben joining Newcastle and wanting to take Eze too. Makes sense as he knows a lot about the player's attitude and behaviour off the match plus, as you say, the state of the R's finances. Almost 'insider trading'.... The plus point for the club is that it would be a straight cash transaction, no players in exchange; but the negative for Eze would be the weather up there - evil at times after the South!

Must be lots of discussions going on because Sir Les said on Sky that in the current climate most of the business will be done over Zoom or [Microsoft] or whatever it may be.
He said “It works well. We spent two hours speaking to about 15 clubs and you all respect the 10-minute window you get to speak to each other and talk about what you’re looking for in the market.”

Interestingly the article says although Eze only has a year left on his deal we have the option to extend, so he effectively has 2 years left. I didn't realise that, and it should leave us in a lot better position to get a higher fee, unlike with BOS.

If we are to lose Eze then he needs to select the right club for his future development and QPR needs to get the price and contract clauses right! I still feel £20m is realistic.
Eze is a Raheem Stirling type of player he is quality with a quiet arrogance about him,he knows how good he can be,and on his day is unstoppable worth 20 million at least I reckon

Definitely worth £20 million plus. I hope we put in a sell on fee too because I wouldn't be surprised to see him moving on to one of the real big boys a year or two down the line once he proves himself in the top tier.
This is a huge summer for QPR. We may be losing our key players but if we can reinvest the money wisely it actually gives us a real opportunity to move forwards. Fingers crossed we don't make a pigs ear of it.
This league was so poor this season,we had a real chance of nicking a play off spot quality wise no team stood out apart from Leeds and West Brom and Brentford Lot of our losses were purely down to our own mistakes and poor judgement we really could of gone far,we had loads of goals in this team and scored plenty but I’m afraid eze and manning and BOS will be gone by start of next season so I hope our board don’t think that the millions made from their sales is kept in their pocket and warburton copes yet again with free transfers and shrewd loan signings we done it this season as we had quality to build on,we will as good as be starting from scratch next term I’m glad warburton lasted all season and let’s hope he guides us through next season and keep some stability
