Sounds positive. No idea how good he is but Warburton knows him, he’s free, he’s a good age and he’s in a position we need. And surely he must be an upgrade on Lynch!

32 appearances last year in a decent Brentford side bodes well. He is left footed so that is ideal.
Another free transfer so we are doing some good business.
It looks like Warburton is having a lot of influence though and I thought we were moving away from that (letting each new manager bring in their own preferences) with Les and the scouting setup selecting players along with the manager. At the moment is seems like Warburton has come in with a list of targets and we are going after them all.
If it doesn't work out for Warburton, in 12 months time we'll be left with a batch of players he likes but the next manager probably wants rid of.
They are warburton old boys brigade But Wallace and barbet are far better defensive options than cousins and lynch were Liam Kelly is also a shrewd bit of business These guys have cost hardly anything between them and there obviously areas he’s targeting,he obviously can see the defence is weak and now looks far better than it was already A bit of firepower up front and then we should be ok just about It’s risky as northwest has mentioned,if warburton goes then we’re stuck with all his old baggage, but warburton is going to give it a damn good go and let’s hope it pays off It’s not a big gamble getting these players in as they cost nothing apart from wages

Interesting that his time at Brentford never overlapped with Warburton so he isn't technically one of his old boys as we all presumed. Sounds like Warburton really does want to play out from the back as in his quotes with each player he keeps reiterating how good they are with the ball. Barbet and Kelly especially.
This definitely feels like an improvement on Lynch and Wallace seems just as dependable as Bidwell so we are doing some good business so far in replacing those who left.
We certainly need a good striker or two though.

I think we are doing well - solid signings, piece by steady piece, fulfilling real needs and getting our business done nice and early rather than grabbing what we can at the last minute like some mad dash around the supermarket at 5 minutes to midnight as its shutting. Prudent financial business too, on a free, with some wiggle room having let go of players on no doubt higher salaries.
Plenty of pre-season time too to allow the new defenders to establish an understanding with each other, and with perhaps a new goalkeeper.
Wallace Barbet Leistner Furlong looks a decent back-line - though I still worry about Leistner's lack of pace.
Now we just need a defensive midfielder and a striker and we can breathe a little (just a little, it's QPR after all) easier.
We’ve just got all Brentford’s and rangers released players waiting for the phone call from warburton now But I agree with Rosco some good signings if they perform how they should and right timing to get them in
He did well at Brentford and looks to be a good replacement for Lynch. Not sure I remember him playing for Brentford at Loftus Road but hopefully he will provide some stability in the centre of defence.
Has anyone seen him play and do we know if he has any pace?

By all accounts he is very good on the ball but lacks a bit of pace (not to Lynch/Leistner standards). He can play back so can't be that slow.
He has "a wand of a left foot" and scores some free kicks but always be cautious when they say that as I remember Daniel Toszer coming with the same said about him and there was no wand in sight!
Looked at a few clips of him from last season Very good on the ball and as you say and a good left foot But like most players that sign for us,they play nothing like they should when they come to Loftus Road Bloody cursed
As the stats continue to illustrate Barbet is the key man this season being the player with both the highest win percentage and lowest defeat percentage.
We have gone rapidly downhill since he got injured so I have delved into the stats further to highlight this.
I know he gave away a few penalties but he clearly made us a better side and was a much better option for playing out from the back which influences the style of the whole team.
Without Barbet:
Our wins are down 38%
We lose 40% more
We get 1.12 points less per game
We score less and concede more
We were 4th after the last match he played (Reading 22 Oct), 1 point from 2nd and just 3 points from the top.
Now we are 15th and 17 points from 2nd. A huge slide in his absense.
