Talk on Twitter that he is heading our way on loan from Spurs. Two seasons ago he was out on loan at Stevenage (where he had a good season) but then injured last season. He is a DM so could replace Mass Luongo in the short-term.
Amos looked overall a better and more more skilful player at Stevenage than both Freeman and Chair did. I assume you all saw some of the things Chair did last season and you all know what Freeman is like.
He's very comfortable on the ball, is very good in the defensive role and can also play a good role in the attacking role. Even though he was a denfensive midfielder, he kind of had a free reign of the midfield to move around at his leisure. He can also score the casual belter as well!
IF this signing does happen and IF he can get back to as good as he was before his injury, then we are going to have one hell of a player on our books for next season!
It's interesting that Warburton has loaned two young midfielders in Amos and Smith rather than going for more experienced signings. No doubt it's partially to do with money but it will also give him a comparison with our own young midfielders.
It will also give our younger players a comparison of how they measure up against premiership youngsters.

It is perhaps a good sign of things to come that clubs like Spurs and Man City seem willing to allow their younger players to come to us. They usually only let them go to clubs who will play a certain style of football so it suggests Warburton will be true to his previous playing style.
You won't find a Man City midfielder on loan at Millwall for example.
My only concern is that these boys will be coming to play and if they are great players in 12 months we'll struggle to replace them.
True. But at least that’s better than being mediocre for a year and then leaving, like last season!
Again true, if they are coming in to replace Luongo though I'd rather us replace him with somebody we can develop for ourselves and profit from ourselves.
I also wonder if Warburton isn't seeing a place in his side for Scowen? Every interview he has is about being good with the ball and passing the ball and so Scowen may not be fitting the Warburton bill. Bringing in numerous midfielders on loan certainly suggests that.
When the hell is there any strikers coming in We need strikers for Christ sake
Problem is fans of every club in the country are saying this, even those with good strikers! Everybody always wants more/better strikers.
That makes strikers the hardest to sign and if you get it wrong or rush you end up with a Conor Washington!
We have to trust that Warburton has a target from his past or the scouting network have done their due diligence. There is still over a month until the first game, no need for panic yet.
