I cannot believe this fee. £1.5 million for a young English player who has a lot of potential. I had him down as a future QPR captain. I like Furlong a lot.
Rangel cannot play every game so are we now not just leaving ourselves short in that position and also selling below value once again?
I thought after letting Freeman go and banking £5 million that would enable us to drive a harder bargain in future but clearly not.

We are a poorly run club who accept low ball offers for decent players and pay over the odds for hopeless players.
I fully believe that the money that we got for Freeman will never be reinvested and the next time we see it will be when it appears as a share dividend or director bonus.
I have no faith in the way our club is run and I'm convinced that If things don't change then we could end up like Bolton or Bury. TF is more concerned with turning Loftus Road into a housing estate and making himself millions in the process.

I did not see this coming! I totally agree re the reported 'sale price' - it does seem like a price at a sale too! For me, Furlong is worth far more - especially as it leaves us short of cover in a critical area!!
It seems to me the policy is,if you get a offer just take it and that’s for anyone,we have owners with no ambition at all They are hoping that the players and manager we have are enough to stop us getting relegated to league one this season We are on the verge of total collapse if it carries on like it is A week to go as good as and we are still short of players and just sold one of our best wingers and have no strikers as of yet We will never learn even in league one Sir les your transfer policy has failed season after season and we’re gonna get caught out if we’re not careful

Judging [pun intended] by the influx of ex-Warburtonians, I feel Sir less actually has little say in who comes in!
Whether the actual figure we get is £1.5m or £2m we have been had, yet again.
If you compare the figure of £6m that Luton got for James Justin who is a 22yo RB and has played just 43 games in League 1 with Darnell Furlong who is a 23yo RB and has played 132 games in the Championship and the Premiership it shows just how poor our negotiators are.
Selling a young talented player who’s been with us many years And then get a loan player from Chelsea to replace him is a poor policy on our part It just shows what’s to come in the near future and that’s a team of premier league kids on loan and mostly has beens that used to play for rangers or Brentford My only piece of optimism is the kid we got on loan from spurs and that about sums it up
OFFICIAL: Daniel Furlong has left the stadium..... (Undisclosed Fee)
Typical QPR, we sell our players on the cheap and then hide the amount we received behind Undisclosed Fee. Shouldn't be a surprise though because it fits TF's smoke and mirrors policy to a tee!
Let's assume that the paper talk is correct and the monies received and spent are as follows;
+ £5m for Freeman + £2m for Furlong + £0.5m for Smith + £0.25m for Ingram - £0.05m for Kelly + £7.70m net total
I wouldn't expect any of the above players replacements or the replacements for Bidwell, Lynch etc to be getting comparable salaries so we must now have enough to cover the salary for Les and the share dividend for Tony. Just need to sell Lumley and Mass to get Ruebens share dividend and maybe we will have some cash left to waste on Alan Judge!
