Don't get it at all. He wasn't much good last season and I don't see where he fits in. Besides, shouldn't loans be about emergency cover or about getting really good players that you'd never be able to get normally (e.g. Kyle Walker). Lua Lua doesn't fit either of those criteria either.

My feeling is that his loan confirms that moves for a new striker have failed and Lualua is seen as a stop gap until the January transfer window (at least).....
Lua Lua has exited stage left. Loan terminated a month early by mutual consent.
Even more bizarre now how he came on for a cameo on Monday. Must have been Holloway giving him one last chance. Not sure what he could have done in 10 minutes to turn around 3 months of rubbish but hey ho.
No doubt we'll see him back at Loftus Road soon...playing like Maradona for the opposition!
Was another hit and hope by OLLIE like Baptiste. Pleased he is back on saf coast.
Are you sure this was Ollies choice? I go the impression it was a last minute player that we grabbed as we needed someone for that postilion and couldn't find anyone else?
Getting Lua Lua back was a mistake. Sometimes you can see things were wrong in hindsight but this was obviously a mistake from the moment it was announced. This is absolutely no loss.

The upside is it has reduced the wage bill for a bit and frees up a squad place just in time for the January sales

Point Sir Les in the direction of the January sales please - Striker department, not Midfield!
Honestly cannot see us bringing in a striker unless we ship out one or two of the current ones.
I can only see teams being interested in Sylla. Swansea were linked in the summer (not sure how true that was).
I imagine if Washington was sold we'd lose a lot of money compared to what we paid for him.
I wouldn't sell Smith as he is a good alternative off the bench and nobody will want Mackie if we are honest so it does rely on teams wanting Sylla or Washington.
Agree with NWH. We're very unlikely to get another striker this season - we just can't afford an upgrade on what we have. It's all about getting the most out of what we've got. Sylla is pretty raw still so we must hope that he develops further.
