I know the market always means lower prices for goalkeepers, but
1) I genuinely think he should be worth more than that
2) I'd just love us to keep this team together and have a try at promotion.

I said 'Yes' and then had second (and third) thoughts.... It is a good price for a keeper but would Smithies (who is a very good goalie) suit our new style of play? Is he likely to be any more confident working the ball out with his feet under pressure than Lumley was? Put me down as a 'Dont Know'!

bring back Smithies me and Jimjams would be happy but we would also be a weaker team? even with "calamity AKA son of Joanna  and matt from Neighbours lookalikee" Joseph Lumley in goal we still looked a decent outfit so im not so sure its just dieng thats sured up our dodgy defence yes hes massivley helped but i think Smithies is equal to Dieng if not perhaps even better??

Only 4 goalies have left the championship for more than £6m (fabianski, Ramsdale, Pickford and Johnstone)I don't think we would get that for him after one season.

But I guess based on the above that yes I would sell him.

We are, and always have been, a selling club. Occasionally, we get to keep a star for a few years and they become legends. However, if a big club comes in, they all still move on... even a small club in a division higher.

Anyway, I think sell for the money and go to the lower league for the next one. Smithies might be an answer, but there will always be another keeper ready to come in!
