He's had 18 months out of the game.
It may be a case of nobody better is available. I am pretty sure QPR would have made it as difficult as possible if they approached about Marti, and the same for other clubs. I am looking forward to the start of the season, with Marti having passed the Beale Loyalty Test and the squad out to show what it can now do!

Sheffield United are charging £38 for away fans and £22 for KIDS! That is just crazy.
I know QPR have higher London prices but come on, there needs to be something done across the league to help traveling fans. Especially with so many matches at 12.30.
Burnley too have been in the news for charging up to £55 for tickets. Scandalous.

Not in this case it seems, as it was a free transfer for the LB, but it cannot be fun having some body examine your spending all the time!
Juventus have officially sold Gianluca Frabotta to West Bromwich Albion, who snatched him away from QPR at the last minute. According to Sky Sport Italia, it is effectively a free transfer, but Juve will be guaranteed a 20 per cent cut of any future sale.
It sounds like we may start the season with excessive amounts of added time again. Before they again realise it benefits nobody and by September/October we get the standard 4/5 minutes.
In the opening fixtures there were some surprises:
Oxford beat Norwich 2-0
Leeds drew with Portsmouth 3-3
Bristol City and Coventry (many chose them as Away winners in the prediction competition) both lost
What the Championship was not short of was goals! Only Norwich and Swansea failed to score today, and Preston yesterday. Unless we start scoring freely, we will not be able to keep up with opponents!!

Portsmouth will score loads of goals and derby and Oxford who came up also You will have to score at least 2 goals to win any game We’ve lacked goals for many seasons,really badly last season and looks like we could struggle again this season
