England lack a decent left back and a bit like when we had Sven the manager seems to pick square pegs in round holes, he doesn't prioritise putting key men like Foden in their best position.

Let's hope Dykes gets a few goals and draws a bit of interest and it would be nice to see Eze involved too.

Southgate does have a knack of placing quality players out of position to suit his plan, and it failing miserably. England needs to be capable of passing within the team but, more importantly, pushing forward at times to create opportunities. Sadly, the latter goes against Southgate's cautious nature...

Dykes will probably end up being a sub as I cannot see Scotland having time to allow him to come good.

Eze will also be on the bench and only given a game when we are well up on our opponents. That means he has precious little time to show just how good he is!

And given Paquetá’s ban will be big (spot fixing he’ll be charged for rather than betting, so powers will come down hard as it can’t be seen to be in the game — I’m think 5 years) a move to City becomes more likely, especially if talk of ditching Grealish has any credence to it too

Just watched the highlights of U17 Euro Quarter Final between Italy and England. We have some great talent there, and well worth a watch!

So who knows much about the state of international football at the moment?
