Right now with Amos and Smith I don't think we will miss him. We may miss him in 12 months once they return to their clubs and we are relying on plucking gems on loan again which is a risky business.
I always believed he was a good player, no doubt, but no more than that. He is not next level, that is probably why he has only ended up at Sheffield Wednesday and why he always ends up on the periphery of the Australinan national team too. He is just a dependable player.
Agree with all of the above, and your mention of needing replacements when Amos & Smith go back to their clubs highlights a real concern: We need players in all positions capable of moving comfortably with the ball if the whole team is to do well. A player who is 'shoe-horned in' but cannot do this will cause the play between the team to stutter or even fail. Now I realise why Warburton needed so many changes of personnel.....
