Looks like a lot of bickering has been going on between fans elsewhere online as only 4,000 had been sold last week.

The club want tickets bought in advance so they know how much of the ground to open.

At this stage I'd guess 1 stand will be shut at least. Shame.

Yes, I spotted the bickering too. It would be criminal if that reduced the crowd on the day or soured the atmosphere. So far SA Road & Loftus Road are fairly full but not full so the club may or may not open another stand.

If that 4,000 can get to 5,000 I reckon that's not bad. It's 40 years since Stan's heyday so it's only old f@rts like me that saw him play. Plus the club is not exactly flying at the moment and it's right in the middle of holidays.

People will always find fault with the club.
I have in the past over failure to do much for STANLEY.
But on this occasion you can't blame club.
They have arranged fixture at the best time for the club.
Yes it falls on the holiday season which can't be helped.

Being an 'old fart' myself I also remember seeing him play and meeting him before and after the game on occasion. Unfortunately holidays prevent me being there on the day so a donation to the fund will have to suffice. A bit gutted really

The good news is today the Loft Upper has been opened. We've sold just shy of 8,000 tickets and need 10,000 in pre-sales for the Ellerslie to be opened.

Paddocks - blocks AL, BL and GL only remain (all limited)
South Africa Road - B block remains only (very limited)
Loft Lower - all but ML and NL remain (all limited)

Let's see if we can get the final 2,000 we need to get the Ellerslie open!

Hope you enjoy it, give us your match feedback if you can, will be good to have a view from somebody at the final pre-season game.

I don't actually understand myself what was going on between other fans on twitter/other boards but even the club PR guys like Ian Taylor had to put messages out saying stuff like 'this match is about stan, stan only, not you' and suchlike.

I guess it was due to poor ticket sales to begin with and some criticising the club for supposedly dragging their feet over the match. Who knows. Just support Stan and the club. Simple.

As you can see from the 'Tony Tweets' thread, some of the responses Tony and the club get beggar belief. We seem to have a group of poisonous, toxic fans out there who actually bring shame on the club.

I have not seen QPR at the loft since we got relegated from the Prem, and I don't use Twitter anymore mainly due to the crap that gets posted.

Sadly I think with social media, people think there views are correct and some people can be quite aggressive with there views.

I love this club, I followed them since the old Div1 when the likes a Ferdinand/Sinton/Beardsley/Barker days. When we was that small little squad with no money, but we played with spirit and determination, and gave as good as we got.

I think this is what needs to happen now, and I do think Holloway can do it, but in this world Social Media is king, but Social media is nothing but negative and complaining.

If we can get this small squad of ours working like we did back then, chasing down balls, and giving it a go. Then we can do well, but the fans have to support them and get behind them.

I will post my views on the match, though not sure what type of team we will play, but if it is the last friendly you would guess if be a strong team but who knows.

I'm in Lower Loft tomorrow for the first time ever so it'll be good to experience a match day from that position. The only home stand that I've not previously sat in yet
