Glad to get back earlier than expected from a rained through Walking Football tournament so tried to login to the game (pre-subscribed). All I am getting though is host errors on login! Does not bode well for the up and coming season's transmissions!!

Any news...???
Seems it was a wide issue, the club were tweeting about it mid-match
So it ended 1-0. We played OK from the sounds of it and Ngbakoto hit the woodword in the last minute. I think he could be a threat this season.
Will be interesting to hear back from those who attended, get some player ratings etc.
Got to admit I was choking the tears back a bit. Stan looked very frail.
Wonderfully, as he got onto the pitch and the crowd started clapping and singing "Stan-ley" he broke into a little jig and threw his arms up in the air to acknowledge the fans. Absolutely made my day to see something spark deep within him...I just hope he could soak in the warmth and love all around him.
Have to say that the small following from Bournemouth also did him proud. They were incredibly respectful and friendly.
All-in-all, a wonderful send-off for a phenomenal footballer. Simply the best I have ever had the privilege to watch - despite some competition from players like Francis, Thomas, Parker, Ferdinand, etc.
We played reasonably well and there was no evident gulf in class between Premier League and Championship teams.
Best performers were Scowen, Pawel, and Chief. Manning added a bit of urgency when he came on. Great free kick from Yenni, after one into Row M and another into Row Z!
Didn't think that anyone had a particularly bad game.
The shape and defensive organisation was OK for most of the game. The goal was a really good piece of individual play by Ibe.
The one thing that worried me was the continuing lack of real goal threat from open play. Unfortunately, we looked just as slow and laboured getting the ball forward as we did last season. There doesn't seem to be much of a partnership forming between Smith and Washington. They don't really operate as a pairing and I am worried about our lack of real goal threat from our strikers and midfield.
I think we will really struggle if we don't (i) Work on getting the ball forward with pace and urgency (rather than delaying the critical pass or checking back) and (2) Bring in someone who really worries defences with pace and goal threat.
A good-ish overall performance, but not one that convinced me a huge amount has changed since last season.
Thanks for that match analysis dts - much appreciated!
For those of who do not subscribe to Twitter (there are those you know QPR) those tweets were not seen. I just kept plugging away at trying to get access - VERY frustrating!
How brilliant to see our STAN BACK HOME AGAIN. Maybe now those idiots that slung abuse at the club because their noses were put out now feel GUTTED. Instead of moaning that they were not involved get raising money. WELL DONE ALL AT QPR PLAYERS FORMER PLAYERS STAFF THE BOARD AND ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO TURNED OUT THE FANS.

ANYBODY THAT WASNT MOVE BY THOSE SCENES OF STANLEY IS NO QPR FAN.
I have been lucky enough to see many brilliant players in a QPR shirt including the likes of Rodney Marsh, Gerry Francis,Tony Currie and Sir Les but there will never be another Stan the man. He was a class apart. All the best Stan.

Scowen does look a good buy.
A very good summary of the game and almost identical to what I'd have written. So thanks for saving me the effort DTS. The only thing I'd add is that Bournemouth seemed far quicker and more purposeful going forward and deserved their win. Like DTS, my biggest concern was how are we going to score the goals we need. On the other hand, the defence looked OK - we seem to have this system where Pavel drops back to right back when we're defending which gives us 5 across the back.
I also agree with DTS that it was quite a shock to see how frail Stan is looking. I was also choking back the odd tear remembering the great days that he gave us and seeing the reception he got from the crowd.

Hear hear!
Nice photo Stoatey. I remember it first time round. We could certainly do with a few like that today!
As said earlier, I was also at the match, in the Upper loft. Not been up there for ages and loved it.
Great tribute to Stand Bowles, it did bring a tear to my eye seeing him taking a tour around the ground, and great respect from the Bournemouth fans.
It was a shame we only had 9,000 fans, for such a occasion you would have though more would have atteneded.
For the match, There was some nice bits, but like others have said - Goal threat from open play was poor, think we played better when Matt Smith and Washington came off. But lack of movement and urgeny in attacked stood out.
Scown looks good, really liked the way he put himself around the pitch.
Pavel is no Wingback, Perch played as a 3rd central defender in the first half, but Pavel is not a wingback.
Thought Robinson and Freeman linked up well, and they did put in a decent cross, but then Freemen seemed to wonder around the pitch and they did not link up so much, but that did look promising.
Perch - he scares me - though he did look better in the 2nd half when played more centeral and Lynch went off.
Robinson - He looks good in the first half, really put himself in the firing line and blocked loads of crosses, but in the 2nd half particularly he pulled out of a 50/50 when a loose ball fell towards him, he definitely pulled out of attacking it and noticed Holloway speaking to him afterwards.
Massimo - I am not sure what his role was, but I was not impressed with him, he had a few chances to launch a quick counter attack, and just wasted it.
smithie - Good Keeper, but boy his distribtuon was really poor. Even punting it towards Pavel who always missed it. The only time he did a good couple was for Freeman and Robinson, and a good ball in the second half. But I thought it was poor in general.
If Holloway wants to play 3 at the back - 1 we need more defenders as Matt Goss went in CB when he came on and I don't think that is his position - though he did nothing wrong there. But more worring we have no more cover. Also we need a proper Wingback, as I said Pavel is no wb.
We enjoyed the game, would have been nice to score a goal for Stan the Man, but think we will struggle this season.

Really appreciate the feedback DTS and zantor.
The lack of goal threat seems to be something everybody agrees on.
It is interesting to read about the shape Holloway was trying. I personally think the wing back idea only works for us when Hall plays as he transitions from central defence into midfield in a way nobody else we have can.
And as zantor says Wzsolek is wasted as a wing back.
Smith is an odd player as he is clearly good with his head in the box, but he is not really effective with his back to goal. You'd think his hold up play would be excellent given his size/build but it is really lacking. Added to his poor movement and he is a player who offers little for me.
Big season for Luongo. He needs to do that bit more across all areas of his game. We need more killer passes, more assists, more goals. After 2 seasons he seems stuck on 'OK Player', we need him to step up.
oh I forgot to ask, I was a bit confused by Bournemouth.
I did not notice in the First half, but in the second half, when the Goalkeeper was doing goal kicks, both fullback where level to him, and as soon as he kicked it, they would then start running up the pitch.
Not noticed this kind of tactic before and found it a bit strange. Did anyone else notice this? or was I seeing things lol

Any other team doing this?
What is the purpose of it?
That is rather unusual behaviour for a goal kick! I can only assume it is done to draw the opposition further upfield (as the goalie may pass it to them) and thus create gaps in midfield...? btw also thanks for your match report as well zantor. Noticed that papers had Luongo as star player so they saw him differently!
