It's inevitable that Eze will go, however, with money already in the bank from the sales of Freeman, Furlong etc., we don't need to let him go until next summer.
Whenever he does go its vital that we dont sell him on the cheap. With so many clubs reportedly after him the bidding should start at no lower than £15m.

We could get Freeman back in exchange, I don't think things are going too well for him, be wasn't even in the squad before Christmas and Eze would be further competition for his place
I think we need to accept he is going this month. Far too many rumours for nobody to come in for him. It's a shame but he had been a success on and off the pitch for the club and he needs to be the first of many.
You may we’ll be right northwesthoop. I hope he stays but if he goes I just hope that we hold out for a really good fee. From what I read, we’re not desperate for cash right now and his value has to rise as he gets more games. Also there seem to be several clubs interested. So we’re in a stronger negotiating position than in recent seasons.
According to the media the number of Premiership clubs that want to sign Eze rises every time he plays a game. No doubt this can only be a good thing because it may lead to a bidding war.
The interesting thing with whoever makes the winning bid will be how much we get up front. Apparently most Premiership clubs don't like to pay in full once the deal is agreed but want to pay in instalments. You would think they are strapped for a bit of cash.

Does seem a cheek when you consider what an established Premiership club receives each year in broadcast rights and the sale of shirts! I hope QPR remember that they are in the driving seat currently (may be different in the summer of course) and should dictate what they will accept (in terms of both the amount and its distribution)! I still feel he is worth in excess of £12m and so we should be aiming higher than recent quoted values for Eze.

I wonder if Premiership teams use the ploy of paying in instalments as a trick to get the player cheaper. They know that most teams outside the Premier League are strapped for cash and are very much run to meet that seasons FFP rules.
If for instance you have a player who you believe is worth £20m but you are strapped for cash to improve your own squad as well as meeting this seasons FFP do you take an one off up front payment offer of £12m from team A or do you take a £20m offer from Team B which will be paid in 3 equal instalments over the next 18 months.
I suppose the more financially stable the selling club then the more they are in the driving seat. The issue I've always had with Sir Les saying all our players are open to offers is that it makes us sound desperate and as a result IMO we have have sold some decent players like Furlong, Freeman and Smithies on the cheap.
Hopefully the sales of Furlong, Freeman etc, will mean that when we receive offers for Eze they can be rebuffed until we get at least the £20m he is worth in today's market.
This deal could (could) be the making of the club if (big if) we invest the money wisely.
It also sends the right message to prospective future buys that they can come here, play, develop and then move on to the very top.
I think I've raised before that Norwich sold midfielders James Maddison and Josh Murphy to Premier League clubs then got promoted in the following season. They sold their best players but made £30 million and made the squad better overall. We need to follow that blueprint.
The question will be whether we can get the right players in to replace him. This is the club that let Sir Les go and brought in Gregory Goodridge, Mark Hately and Ned Zelic after all.
Realistically I think we all know that Eze will leave but if Palace do make a late bid because they have lost out on Bowen then we are in a position to play hard ball and bump the price up. Palace know that Zaha is off in the summer and they are looking to replace him.
Bowen is apparently joining West Ham for £20m which is the minimum we should expect for Eze. Unless there has been some talking over the last few days then Palace trying to get Eze so late in the window smacks of desperation. If Palace really really want to sign him then we have the upper hand and can ask for silly money.
If they don't want to play ball then leave things until the summer when plenty of other teams will be interested and Palace will be even more desperate because Zaha will almost certainly have left them.
The issue I have however is that we dont have anyone with a business brain at the club and knowing what TF has done in the past it wouldn't surprise me to see him sell Eze for a paltry sum and then tell the fans what a great businessman he is.

My thoughts too - make them pay! Today's talk of only £15m had better be a joke!! If Eze does go we will just carry on as a mid-table finisher this season and continue to rebuild in the summer, when I expect players such as Chair, BOS, Kelly and Masterson to become the core of a good footballing side.
