I knew he would We have been woeful this year It’s on official now and in wouldn’t be in rangers interest to throw this round as a big joke David Wagner for me But I bet it’s sherwood
Wow, I have to say I'm shocked. I probably shouldn't be as 1 win in 15 is just not good enough but I didn't think they'd make a change (if at all) before the summer.
I actually thought this thread was going to be a joke as with 7 games to go I just thought they'd stick it out until the summer like we did last year.
So the big question is where do we go from here? The club feels like it is at a dead end. No matter who we appoint we tread water and have huge losing streaks. We have a poor squad, even our better players like Luongo probably aren't good enough to take us forward.
It’s not a wind up And I thought that’s why people’s lack of instant reaction Northwest i too think where the hell are we going to go from here But it’s been terrible this year and we are a laughing stock being beaten by the A’s good as relegated clubs The board had no choice in my opinion,no other manager would of kept his job with this run we had and Leeds only kept him in a job back then He should of been sacked after Rotherham game really
He does deserve to go, I'm not defending him in any way, I just hope the club knows what it wants to do going forward otherwise we'll just be back here in 12 months time. Yes the form is abysmal but this is a bigger issue that changing the manager won't fix in my opinion.
McClaren was wanted by the board and picked long before he was appointed and we've still ended up here again.
I guess Gary Rowett will be one of the favourites. We wanted him before we appointed Holloway.
I wish I was wrong but I said this when Holloway was sacked.
McClaren could only Finnish mid table at best so he was always going to be sacked, that it the way this club is run. yet again we are back to square one.
We have no direction no defined playing style no youth policy no outstanding players and yet again no manger
We have changed style of play from Hasslebainks high pressing style to Holloway harassing and long ball game and McClarens passing and quick breaking game. But we have still got the same players.
No matter who we get in nothing will change unless we commit to the manger long term and back him with time and were possible money. No doubt he will have his own ideas on how to play the game which will be different to Hassalbainks Holloway and McClaren But he will have at best the same players (Lynch Furlong Scowen Cousins who have all been criticized at some point ) but may loose our best players (Bidwell Freeman and Louongo) who may have become disillusioned by the constant change in mangers.
As I said back to square one. ( but maybe this time it is minus square one because in my opinion we have gone backwards with over reliance on our on loan players.
Firm favourite is sherwood (please please no ) Rowett is who I would like Mark warburton would be a good candidate too We’ve been through it before and it will go full circle as it always does McClaren wasn’t right for us though, his team selection on Saturday was a act of desperation Let’s just back John eustace and hopefully stay up
Don't worry that won't happen, it is just lazy journalism. He has been immediately installed as favourite the last 3 or 4 times we've needed a manager yet he isn't even linked to any other job in football. It's odd really.
Initial thoughts are it will be Jokanovic or Rowett. I sense Wagner was a broken man when he left Huddersfield and I don't imagine QPR are the new challenge he'd want!!
Fernandes should hang his head in shame. Not only is it another manager appointed by him who was never the right guy but it will be another manager on the payroll along with Ollie and whoever we appoint. We should be using any money available to invest in players not paying off managers.
I would love to see the Mittals take over the club but unfortunately I cant see it happening anytime soon. Fernandes and Gnanalingam have ruined our club. Fernandes is a West Ham fan who only got involved with us after he failed to buy his beloved hammers. He sacked our best manager of recent times and wasted all our Premiership income with some of the poorest investments the club has ever made. As a result of his poor management we incurred huge costs associated with FFP and a transfer ban. He talks about a new stadium then blames everyone else when it doesn't happen. It's never his fault!
Anyone hear Ollie on Talk Sport suggesting that Fernandes was taking advice from McClaren on how we should play whilst Ollie was still our manager. Ollie also claimed that Sir Les played no part in appointing McClaren.
I agree stoatey that everything Fernandes touches seems to turn into a disaster.
At least this time he shouldn't be involved, Amit should be making his first appointment since becoming chairman again. The last time it was his choice we appointed Warnock. Hopefully we make such a wise decision again but I cannot help but keep thinking it doesn't matter who we appoint the team just isn't good enough and we don't have the means to improve it. Catch 22.
I think the point is with McClaren A team with players like wells and Freeman Should be able to at least draw with Bolton and Rotherham We didn’t and could of been beaten by more on Saturday to start with The next manager is somebody who can work with what he’s got Warburton or somebody like kenny jackett is what we need Yes it’s pointless maybe sacking McClaren but we are absolute dire to watch and the players simply look deflated at the moment It couldn’t carry on as it was but finding that dream manager isn’t going to happen soon
Sherwood = arrogant, clueless. Mark Warburton = moneyball, pie-charts; absolutely shocking at Glasgow Rangers. Garry Rowett = his star has plummeted to earth, now the stench of failure and desperation hangs around him. Michael Appleton = the nervous supply teacher.
A pretty desperate list.
And no, I don't know who either. Just none of the four horsemen of the apocalypse above.

Even jam roly poly is in the list Neil warnock is the only manager who would get our lot winning Obviously he is busy with Cardiff city now Neil Harris at Millwall is a manager I like and Gary monk too They make do with what they have and whoever comes in needs to do that too Any foreign manager out there Luigi de canio was a decent manager
