I wouldn't mind him staying at the club but I've seen quite a few fans calling for him to be given the managers job which is OTT after a win in a dead rubber match. You can see how bad the second half of the season has been when we only have to win 1 game for spirits to be lifted and the person in charge worthy of the job!
I think his quotes have improved in recent weeks as he has become more comfortable in the role. At first he was talking nonsense about us giving our all against Norwich despite getting hammered and other similar general football soundbites which i put down to nerves with facing the press. But after Forest last week he spoke correctly of a 'losing mentality' at the club and how the recruitment this summer will be crucial, so he is starting to talk sense.
I suspect that whoever takes over as manager will want to appoint their own coaches and assistants. Unless Eustace is a mate of the new man then I can't see him getting a role. In fact I'm not even sure that Eustace would want to stay unless they offered him the top job.
He was told to get us over the line when McClaren went In fact we didn’t need to win a game as 40 points was enough to stay up as good as He’s give our board time in what manager to get in and he got us more points than McClaren did this year alone He got the players on his side and a bit more United

Exactly! He did a good job against Wednesday - right team selected and right tactics, but that does not make him the next manager. I would be happy for him to stay on as a #2 though!

I can't believe those rumours. Would a team who finished above us really want a manager who even we didn't really consider? Swansea always hire towards playing a certain way and I don't see what evidence there is that Eustace is a manager with that style in mind. Strange.
Don’t get why Brighton wanted Swansea’s old manager It’s a big step up playing Man City than a team like us Good luck to him and heard Chelsea may consider lampard as manager as he’s doing a great job with Derby Now that would be a step up
I think Warburton could be our longest serving manager for quite some time as we go through the next few years. So although I agree the club may have the idea to then transition to Eustace, he has been a manager himself already so will both attract more offers and want to manage again at some point. So he will probably end up moving on whilst Warburton is still here at some point.
I know clubs try to have players competing with each other to get the best out of them and claim the starting XI shirt, do we have managers competing as well now?
