He is absolute quality First time I saw him play you could just see he was going to be a top player Settled into the premier league very quickly after leaving us
He's on top form again now, MOTM pretty much every week, scoring for fun, a match winning brace yesterday.
With a rumoured 20-25% sell on fee due to QPR we have to hope Newcastle come calling for him at £50 million+
The two goals he scored last night were both superb in their own right! He must surely be regarded now as the finished product - skilful, intelligent and now much harder to get off the ball. Newcastle, Spurs or a top club abroad would all make sense for him now.
Another 2 goals today, 10 for the season is very impressive.
An England call up and big money move on the way??
Since Roy Hodgeson arrived at Palace it seems he's given Eze the freedom to roam in that central attacking area. Along with the wide men, Olise (what a bargain he was at £8.5m) and Zaha they are a real attacking force.
It would be great to see him in an England team but I'm not sure he's a Southgate type player.

If he does get an England call up or is transferred we could do quite nicely.
Reporter Ian McCullough has revealed some more details on the transfer that took Eze to Palace back in 2020.
“If Eze carries on like this, that 25 per cent sell-on clause may prove to be very lucrative for QPR. Add-ons for England call-ups too.”
It was also noted that the sell-on is related to the fee Palace receive should Eze move on, as opposed to just the profit, which is obviously a positive for the R’s as well.
I imagine that unless he has a release clause he would be going for at least £50-60 million (considering Gordon went to Newcastle for £50 million).
We could be looking at £12.5 million at least. Could be a huge moment for QPR.
In that game, not only did Eze score the two goals - he was also rated as a '9'! His positioning has always been very good, but now his finishing and the difficulty to be taken off the ball has made him the finishing article! He may well be a step too far for the cautious Southgate, but another manager with more vision will certainly snap him up very soon. Let's not focus just upon a PL side. He could move just as easily to Spain or France!
Hopefully he gets some game time and can prove himself at the highest level and attract a big money move!
I’m on the fence with whether he deserves the call up right now. Also on the fence as to whether he’s making the right choice playing for England over Nigeria too.
Come on jrperry, he's been on fire in the last 10 games, goals and assists every game. Only on an upward trajectory.
Six goals and one assist since Hodgson’s been there. Before he arrived he’d been ineffective to the point he wasn’t even in the team. I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the idea that a player can play well for 6-7 games and that gets them an international call, I think you should require more. And I think it reeks of double standards from Southgate. March, Willock, Longstaff, Gibbs-White all been more consistent across the season. What seems to have tilted the balance is the fact that Eze plays for an ex-Southgate club in Palace. In that regard, he’s nothing more than a kids football manager who picks the team according to who’s mates with his son and what parents he likes the most. Comical way to run a national team that tries to win tournaments.
I also think he’s not as good as Foden, Bellingham, Gallagher, Gibbs-White, Maddison and possibly even Mount. So I wonder just how many caps he’ll get for England. If he played for Nigeria he’d get 100, and be a symbol like Okocha. For England, he’s just another disposable player.
And regarding the upward trajectory. Where does he move to? Doesn’t get anywhere near City’s team, doesn’t get in Liverpool’s, doesn’t get in United’s, doesn’t get in Newcastle’s purely because it makes no sense to spend stupid money on a player when they’ve already got a similar type in Willock, doesn’t get in Arsenal’s as he isn’t better than Ødegaard. So then where are we looking as upward? Chelsea? Doesn’t get in there either I don’t think, especially if they’ve buy João Félix. Spurs? Possibly, but the logistics of the transfer is a problem there because are spurs going to pay £60m+? I’m not convinced they will. Then looking abroad, Spain is a no. Italy, possible, but transfer fee is a problem. Germany is a No as Musiala is better. So where does he go?
This is precisely why I’m not jumping on board with our fans celebrating as if he’s going to bring us in a ton of money through a sell-on. Because I’m not entirely sure where gets sold on to. He can play like an X million pound player all he likes, but if there are no takers and no spaces he’s stuck at Palace.
Also our 20% could actually be a stumbling block in negotiations too. Hypothetically, Palace sell him for £50m. £10m of that would be due to us. Which leaves them £40m to play with, which is not enough at that level to replenish the team, it buys them one player if that. Therefore, Palace will not be selling for £50m. They’ll want more. At which point clubs will just say no because it doesn’t represent value for money. £60-80m on a guy who has yet to put together an entire season of consistent success. That’s an awful lot of money. And there is better value abroad (Florian Wirtz, Xavi Simons, Dominik Szoboszlai, Benjamin Šesko, Sandro Tonali, Nicolò Barella, to name just a few). I think there is a serious possibility here that Eze runs his contract down because nobody is willing to meet Palace’s demands, and goes either in the last year for £20 million, or leaves on a free transfer a la Wilfried Zaha. So I’d hold back on the how brilliant it’s going to be financially for us malarkey until the money is physically in the bank.
Listen I hope I’m wrong on this front, but I’ll keep hold of my reservations for now.
I think there are tactical questions too for him in a Southgate team. He doesn’t trust Foden and Maddison as a number 10 so not sure why he’d trust Eze, who isn’t an eight either. Eze and Bellingham either side of Rice looks exciting but it doesn’t give you enough of the ball, and playing Bellingham as an 8 not a 10 undermines his influence on a game as he’s given more defensive responsibility. If you play Eze wide left, you undermine his. And in any case, he’s not as good as Grealish and he’s not as good as Rashford.
I personally would’ve loved to seen him play for Nigeria. 100 caps easily he gets. And he becomes an iconic footballer in the same way Jay-Jay Okocha is consider one. He goes to World Cups, he wins AFCONs, he increases his chances of a move abroad. I think that would have been more worthy home for him. But 🤷♂️

I like this take
Think about how exciting that Nigeria team would be going in to World Cup 2026. Eze as the 10, Osayi-Samuel at right back, Osimhen up front. In an iconic Nigerian kit. In the sunshine of America. People would be talking about them, and Eze, for years. Whereas as with England, he may end up getting 20-30 caps and never actually play in a tournament simply because of the amount of competition in his position.
