If he accepts this call up is that the end or could he switch countries at a later date?
Has he ever spoken publicly about his Nigerian background
Nigeria tried to get him in for a training camp when Gernot Rohr was manager, but Eze was a bit younger and had his eyes on England. So efforts were made and there was rebuff of sorts, it was more a case of ‘haven’t made my mind up yet’
the rules are as follows as to changing nationality;
First, it is now possible for a player to change national team even if they have played competitively at senior level, provided:
the player held the nationality of their new association at the time of their first official appearance for their first national team. the player played in no more than three competitive senior games before the age of 21. the player has not played in the final stage of an official tournament such as the World Cup, European Championship, Copa America etc. at least three years have passed since the player's last senior appearance for their previous national team.
Congratulations to Eberechi Eze on getting his first England cap and in the process earning QPR some much needed cash.
Love that guy!
Not sure exactly what we will get from Palace for his England appearance but I believe the the transfer deal included £4m for "achievable" add ons.
According to Ian McCullough the transfer that took Eze to Palace included a 25 per cent sell-on clause plus add-ons for England call-ups too.”
However, Sky suggest the deal was for a 20 per cent sell on clause plus add ones.
The interesting suggestion by McCullough is that the add ons are for England call ups which is obviously different to actually playing. However, whatever it is the good news is that we should get some much need money because he's now achieved the call up and made an appearance.
If we do get some money from any subsequent sale of Eze I hope it's reinvested in some younger talent. We have to start building a team for the future and a decent young goal scorer has to be top of our list.

Eze move was never going to happen. Doesn’t get in any of the big teams 11s, our 10% means Palace aren’t going to sell for less than £70m as otherwise it brings them insufficient to money to replace him with. And nobody will pay that money any way for a guy who will largely sit on the bench. And Palace were never going to sell him and Zaha in the same window. Far likelier he leaves Palace for nothing or a cut price deal when his contract is running down. This chat of £10m is a pipe dream that we can’t bank on or live in the expectation we’ll get it
