Moving on from the McClaren Sacked thread it looks like the search for the next manager is going to go on for a few weeks yet so I thought we needed a thread to contain all the ongoing links.

Lee Hoos has now spoken and it does give the impression that Eustace will be in charge until the end of the season and they are being as diligent as possible:

Lee Hoos is saying all the right things and can just hope that his stated views are those of Sir Les and the Board too. It really is a pivotal appointment I feel, as we either go for 'same-o, same-o' or we get in someone wanting to develop the senior squad with a known budget.

Why is he suddenly favourite now
The board know we should be in the championship next season,well we as good as are now
The possibilty of being in league one must of frightened a few people of the job,because that would of been a huge uphill task

Part of me hopes Bircham gets it and does great things.

But another part of me is concerned that he was a big part of the Holloway set up which was tactically inept at times with weird team selections.

That said he'd have the fans behind him from Day 1 and would be preferable over most of the names still being mentioned.

A week since I last posted the odds and Bircham has moved from 3rd to 2nd favourite with Sherwood moving back to favourite.

Ainsworth has jumped from 9th to 4th favourite whilst the odds of Warburton and Appleton have lengthened quite a bit.

He was interviewed by Sky Sports and rather than say he was keen to manage QPR he said it was 'worth considering' - arrogant b**tard!!

Give him the job and show Sherwood the exit door
I personally think we need a manager that can build from top to bottom and only Kenny Jackett or warburton could do that
Good thing is we haven’t panicked and got the first manager that’s come along
I hope the delay isn’t purely down to Sherwood umming and aaaring

It’s a good point northwest
We’ve not exactly been linked with anybody that stands out
Do we get somone like Bircham an old fave with a lack of experience that wears his heart on his sleeve
Or do we get somebody with experience and been round the block a few times,in our situation I think we need a bloody magician
Warburton is not a bad manager and a better choice than Sherwood
But maybe we could give Marc Bircham a chance to prove himself
