Apparently he likes to play out from the back and talks of 'splitting the centre halves'.... which is concerning to me at this point. We heard exactly the same stuff from McClaren last year and we only really played that way for the first 4 games as we just couldn't adapt and it had to be scrapped.

And although it is admirable in theory to want to play that way (and I obviously hope we do become more entertaining to watch) we simply as it stands still do not have the players to play that system.

So if he is going to want to play the same way he has at other clubs we are going to need sweeping changes to the squad and sooner rather than later. As stoatey said elsewhere we cannot afford to be waiting until the end of August to bring players in again, especially if he wants players to play a certain style. Get the players in asap and drill a system into them.

It is certainly going to be an interesting summer. Again!
