He may never have applied, we may not have talked to him at all, who knows. The Daily Mail certainly don't. They are making up stories to get people to click on the articles.

It was the same the other week with Sherwood who apparently 'ruled himself out' when there was no quote to confirm that and no proof to begin with that he was ever ruled in!!

Personally think ainsworth is more a emotional link
He is not proven at our level and as much as I like him to come back can he get us back to winning ways,he would certainly get the crowd and fans back on side and positive vibe around the place

Moore was only linked as sir Les quoted there was a lack of black managers in football and rated Moore
The rumours are pure rubbish and only names are going round to get the bookies to make people put money on them as northwest said
They’ve not even spoken to ainsworth,the Portuguese ex Sheff wed manager doesn’t even know where we are probably
There’s been no strong rumour and nearly a month on we still have nobody to take the job

I think the delay can be explained in that we confirmed we were safe quite quickly after McClaren left so it has given the club the opportunity to really take their time and try to make the correct appointment. There became no need to rush. However, once the season is over we really need to do something so the new manager has the whole summer to plan. Time is starting to run out otherwise we just look like we have no idea.

I'm still hoping Warnock walks away from Cardiff for one last challenge to prove to Tony how wrong he was to sack him.
